Watching me watching you
Watching me watching you
mixed media installation with video
2021

The multi-story brick building was inspired by Hitchcock's Rear Window, where the protagonist kills time while stuck at home observing scenes from other people’s lives through the window. In the installation, referencing voyeuristic aspects of social cohabitation, the buildings' windows are replaced by images from the endless flow in social media and internet.
Screens are the windows into someone else’s intimate space which is nowadays on display, evaluated, commented on and rented through subscription. Nothing is private anymore. The Eye and Peep Show signs further point to the aspect of watching and voyeurism.
