The word diorama may sound so fourth-grade-history-project—but have you ever been as happy as you were in fourth grade, lining a shoebox with construction paper? Clearly, Tracey Snelling sees the value in exploring the world around her by building miniaturized versions (including this Laundromat and Dry Cleaning Centre, 2008), which she then photographs. See one of her pieces in the show “Road Trip,” now at the San Jose Museum of Art. Represented by John Berggruen Gallery
